This page explains how to delete your Bimo account (com.devolim.antiscam, published by BAUGEY MATHEO, DEVOLIM) and what happens to your data. Deletion is free, immediate and permanent: no form, no justification, no waiting period.

1. From the app: the normal route

  1. Open Bimo;
  2. tap the gear at the top of the home screen to open Settings;
  3. scroll down to the red section at the bottom;
  4. tap “Delete my account” and confirm.

That is all. The erasure runs on our servers while you wait, and the app starts again on a fresh account: you can keep using it right away.

2. What is erased

Everything that identifies you, with no backup copy kept:

  • the account itself (anonymous authentication ID);
  • your mini profile: first name and optional photo;
  • your usage counters: remaining checks, consumption history;
  • your trusted links with relatives, on both sides of the link;
  • the advice requests and replies exchanged with them;
  • the alerts sent to your relatives;
  • your referral code and the links derived from it;
  • your notification token;
  • the reviews, suggestions and bug reports you sent us.

Analytics is cut off from you at the same moment: the identifier the app uses to count screens opened is reset, so nothing links past measurements to the installation that carries on. Events already sent are not erased retroactively; they expire after 14 months, or sooner if you write to us.

The content of the messages you had checked was never stored: it is analysed then destroyed, so there is nothing to delete. Your analysis history never left your phone: clear it from the History screen, and it disappears when you uninstall the app.

3. What remains, and why

  • Technical logs of the infrastructure (dates, error codes, volumes) carry no account identifier and are purged automatically after 30 days. They cannot be traced back to you.
  • Your installation fingerprint: an irreversible digest, without your account identifier, together with the date on which this device received its welcome peanuts. It is what stops anyone from collecting five free checks over and over by deleting and recreating an account, so it cannot disappear with the account: that would defeat its whole purpose. It erases itself after 90 days, and the identifier that produces it leaves your phone when you uninstall the app.
  • Subscription events received from our payment provider, carrying your account identifier, the event type and the date. They exist so that the same renewal is never processed twice. They are purged automatically after 90 days.
  • Your record at RevenueCat, the provider that tracks subscription status for us: it holds your account identifier and your purchase history. We cannot delete it from inside the app; write to us and we will request its erasure.
  • Your subscription, if one is active. It is managed by Apple or Google, not by us: deleting your Bimo account does not cancel it. Cancel it from Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or from the Play Store on Android, otherwise you will keep being charged.
  • Accounting records attached to a purchase (the invoice issued by the platform) are kept by that platform under its own legal obligations.

4. By email, if you no longer have the app

Write to [email protected] quoting your installation ID. It is shown at the bottom of the app's Settings screen, under “About”, and is copied with a single tap.

One limit you should know about. Bimo asks for no name, no email address and no phone number: we have no way to match an email address to an account. Without that ID, and in accordance with Article 11.2 GDPR, we are unable to identify the data relating to you. If you still have the app on your phone, deleting from Settings remains the safest and fastest route.

A request received by email is handled within one month, extendable by two months where the request is complex.
